He Is Glad About You

Let's jump in with the one thing I want you to remember for the ride: at the end of a hard week, God is glad about you and quiets your heart. Listen to this from Zephaniah 3:17. It says, "The Lord your God is among you... He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will be quiet in his love. He will delight in you with singing." Read that again slowly. God does not just put up with you. He rejoices over you. He delights in you. He sings about you. The people who first heard this had messed up in big ways. And God's word to them was not a lecture. It was a love song. You spend a lot of energy hoping people are happy with you. And the God of the whole universe is already glad about you, on your worst day, not just your best. If Jesus were sitting next to you right now, He would remind you, "I know this week did not go how you wanted. I am glad you are Mine, today more than ever, and I would sing about you if you let Me." It is Sunday night, and your brain is listing everything that went wrong. Picture instead the truth: God is not up there shaking His head. He is like a parent watching their kid sleep, just glad you exist. Let that quiet your heart before the new week. Hey, this week, try this one thing. Tonight, when your brain starts the highlight reel of everything you did wrong, stop it with one sentence: God is glad about me right now. Say it until your heart believes it.
