For Parents

If your kid has been quietly steering clear of someone who's different (a new kid, someone who dresses differently, someone who plays different games), this episode meets them there. Pastor Justin walks them through John 4 and Jesus stopping at a well to talk to a Samaritan woman, and lands them in the truth that God's love isn't just for people like us. After it ends, name one kid in their world who could use a moment of being seen.

The One Thing for the Ride

Jesus loves everyone, and kindness is for everyone too, no matter how different they are.

Questions Kids Ask

Why was it surprising that Jesus talked to the Samaritan woman at the well?

Back then Jews and Samaritans did not get along at all, so the woman was shocked that Jesus even spoke to her (John 4:9-10). But Jesus did not ignore her or treat her like she did not matter, He showed her real kindness and respect. It shows that God's love is for everyone, even people who feel different from us, so kindness should not have favorites.
