One Month In, Keep Showing Up

Hey, Carpool Crew! Happy Monday. I'm Pastor Justin, and before we jump in, let me give a big shout-out to Charley and Ava from Birmingham, Alabama. So glad you are starting the week with us. And this episode lands right at one month in, and it is for the kid wondering if the little good things even count. You know that feeling when you have been holding doors and staying kind and trying your best for weeks, and it seems like nobody has noticed even once? Yeah. Let's jump in with the one thing I want you to remember for the ride: the good you do at school is never wasted, so keep at it. Listen to this from 1 Corinthians 15:58. Paul writes, "be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." In vain just means for nothing. Paul is saying the good you do is never for nothing. Not one bit of it. Paul wrote this to people who were tired and wondering if their efforts mattered. His answer was a flat no, nothing you do for God is wasted. Here is what lands. The kind word nobody noticed, the honest choice, the time you kept trying, none of it disappears. God keeps every bit of it and uses it, even when you cannot see how. If Jesus were sitting next to you right now, He would remind you, "I see every good thing you do, even the ones nobody claps for. None of it is wasted. Keep going." It is a month in, and being kind and doing your best feels like it goes unnoticed. But picture it like planting seeds. You cannot see the roots growing under the dirt, but they are. Every good thing you keep doing is a seed God is quietly growing. Hey, this week, try this one thing. On the day it feels most pointless, do one good thing anyway, and remind yourself, this is a seed, and God does not waste seeds. Hey, let's go back to that one thing I wanted you to remember for the ride. The good you do at school is never wasted, so keep at it.
