Rahab, Episode 1: The Woman God Saw

Joshua sends two spies into Jericho and of all the houses in the city, they end up at Rahab's. She was an outsider the whole city looked down on, and she is exactly the kind of person God loves to use. God does not see people the way the world sees them. He looks at the heart, and he sees you.

For Parents

If your kid has ever felt invisible, the one nobody picks, the one who only gets noticed on a bad day, this episode meets them there. Pastor Justin opens the Rahab series with a woman her whole city overlooked, and shows how God saw her anyway. It's a story about being seen before you've done anything to earn it. Tonight, ask your kid where they felt overlooked today, and remind them God was paying attention the whole time.

The One Thing for the Ride

Questions Kids Ask

Who was Rahab in the Bible?

Rahab was a Canaanite woman living in Jericho whose house was built right into the city wall, on the edge of town where nobody important would look. When Joshua sent two spies to scout the city, they came to Rahab's house and stayed there (Joshua 2:1-3). She was the outsider her whole city overlooked, and she is exactly the person God chose to use, because God looks at the heart, not the outside.
