Samson's Strength and Yours: God Gives Power for a Purpose
6 when Samson tears apart a lion with his bare hands—powered not by muscles alone, but by the Spirit of God.
For Parents
Day two of the Samson series looks at where his famous strength really came from. Pastor Justin makes clear it was not muscles or a super serum but the Holy Spirit, given for a reason. He then widens it for kids: God hands out different kinds of strength, courage, wisdom, boldness, and they are meant to bless others, not show off. With a simple story about carrying groceries in a Buffalo snowstorm, it points kids toward using their gifts to serve.
The One Thing for the Ride
“The gifts and strength God gives you are not just for you, they are to help others.”

Questions Kids Ask
Where did Samson get his strength?
The Bible says the spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that Samson tore a lion apart with his bare hands (Judges 14:6). His strength came from God, not from big muscles, and God gave it to him for a purpose, to help and protect others. The gifts and strength God gives you are meant to help others too.
