Summer Road Trips with Jesus: Your Summer Kickoff Trailer

Hey, carpool crew. It's summer, and carpooling with Jesus is hitting the road for two months of faith, fun, and a little Bible adventure. In June and July, we're gonna be bringing you the ultimate summer lineup: some big miracles, some wild Bible stories that I'm sure you are not going to believe, but they're true, and some of the coolest characters in scripture that maybe you've never heard of. But you're gonna love their stories. But before we jump into that, did you know that Jesus went on road trips too? Now, I'm not sure what you are doing this summer, but when Jesus was 12 years old, he and his parents packed up and made the long, dusty walk to Jerusalem. Now, they had maybe some donkeys or some camels, but they did a lot of walking, and this wasn't a quick trip down the block. We're talking days of walking, camping under the stars, cooking food over the open fire, and probably a lot of, are we there yet? Now, I imagine Jesus walking with his family, playing I spy with sheep. Maybe, I spy something, you know, white and fluffy. Is it a cloud? No, it's sheep again. There's always sheep everywhere in the Bible. Or maybe he was counting donkeys the way I used to count license plates as a kid. Hey mom, that's the 14th donkey with one floppy ear I've seen today. When I was a kid, I went on road trips too. My mom and I had the car color game. I picked blue, she picked red, and somehow she always won. I'm still suspicious about that. We also played the license plate game, which, let's be honest, it's only fun until you're stuck on Nevada for about three hours. Now it's your turn, your road trip with Jesus this summer. And I know you might say, well, it's not really summer for me yet. June and July kind of feel like the best summer months to pick, because, well, this is a big world out there and we gotta pick something. So this summer, I'm carpooling with Jesus. Every episode is gonna be packed with faith, fun, some reminders for wherever you go. From the pool to the grocery store to Grandma and Papa's house, Jesus is right there with you. And guess what? August 4th, we kick off a brand new season, and in September, oh man, we've got some big stuff coming your way. You are not gonna want to miss it. So keep listening. Tell your friends. Tell your dog. Tell your neighbor's dog, because this summer it's not just a road trip. We're road tripping with Jesus.
