The Seat, the Snack, the Smile

Hey, Carpool Crew! Happy Friday. I hope you have an incredible weekend ahead. I'm Pastor Justin, and before we jump in, let me give a big shout-out to Theodoro and Frederico from West Bend, Wisconsin. So glad you made it to Friday with us. And this episode is about the little kindnesses that feel too small to matter. You know how you might think, I am just a kid, I cannot really help anybody? Yeah. Turns out the small stuff is exactly where it starts. Let's jump in with the one thing I want you to remember for the ride: sharing a little thing with a kid who has nobody is the kind of good that sticks. Listen to this from Hebrews 13:16. It says, "Don't neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices." Notice it does not say do something huge and famous. It says do good and share. Small, everyday, doable. The people who first read this were regular folks with regular lives, not superheroes. And God said your small kindnesses actually make Him happy. The little stuff counts to Him. You do not need money, or a stage, or to be the most popular kid. You need a seat to offer, a snack to split, or a smile to give. That is enough to change somebody's whole day. If Jesus were sitting next to you right now, He would probably smile and say, "The small kind thing you almost skipped because it felt too tiny? Do it. I see it, and it matters more than you know." It is lunch again. A kid two seats down forgot their snack, and they are trying to act like they are not hungry. You have got an extra granola bar. It is nothing to you, but you slide it over anyway. That granola bar is not really about food. It is a kid finding out somebody noticed them. Hey, this week, try one of these three things. First, the seat, save a spot for a kid who never gets one. Second, the snack, share part of yours with someone who has none. Third, the smile, give a real one to a kid who looks like they have not gotten one all day. Pick one. Small is where it starts. Hey, let's go back to that one thing I wanted you to remember for the ride. Sharing a little thing with a kid who has nobody is the kind of good that sticks.
