Who makes it

It started as a list for my wife.

I'm Justin. Brittany and I homeschool in the Valley, and every week she was piecing together what was free, what had a homeschool rate, and what was actually worth loading up the van for. So I built her a Friday list. It got useful enough that we opened it up, and you do not have to homeschool to use it: most of it works on a Saturday too.

  • 1

    No link, no mention

Every item has a button that goes to the real registration or info page. If there is no page to send you to, it does not make the list.

  • 2

    Checked that morning

Price, date, time and address come from the venue's own page, read that Friday. If it cannot be verified, it is left out. No guesses, no "call first."

  • 3

    Fifteen things, not forty

Twelve to fifteen picks with the full detail on each. A shorter list you can actually plan from beats a long one you skim and close.

  • 4

    Honest about fit

If something skews young, needs a group of ten, or is bad value at the gate price, it says so before you drive across the Valley.

What lands in your inbox

Same order every week.

So you always know where to look, and the urgent stuff is never buried.

  1. Jayden, from the Carpool Crew, pointing

    First

    Deadlines. Do these first.

Registrations that close, homeschool weeks that end Friday, group bookings that need two weeks of notice. Sorted by how soon you lose the chance.

  2. Noah, from the Carpool Crew, holding a compass

    Dated

    Happening this week and next

Ranger nights, bird walks, free museum evenings, library STEM. Each one with when, cost, the street address, ages and how to sign up.

  3. Ellie, from the Carpool Crew, waving

    Standing

Free any week you want it

Culture Pass, wetlands permits, nature centers. These rotate so you are not reading the same three forever.

  4. Miles, from the Carpool Crew, with his notebook

    Paid

    Hands-on and worth paying for

Foundry tours, mine tours, working farms and the best homeschool rates in the state, with the family of four math done for you.

  5. Lily, from the Carpool Crew, showing her drawing

    Last

If you only do three things

The short version for a full week. Three moves, in order, and you have not missed anything that mattered.

  6. Zoey, from the Carpool Crew, waving

    Always

ESA dates and the ten-person rule

Funding windows and receipt deadlines before they sneak up, plus which trips need a group of ten and where to find one.

Where it covers

The whole Valley, and a little past it.

East Valley to West Valley, plus anything up to ninety minutes out if it earns the drive. It also tracks the Arizona things that are easy to miss: ESA funding windows and receipt deadlines, and homeschool law news from the state's own pages.
