Growing Your Faith: How a Tiny Seed Moves Mountains

Hey there friends. Welcome back to Carpooling with Jesus. I'm Pastor Justin, and today we're talking about our superpowers. I bet you didn't think you had any. Well, Jesus said that faith is powerful, so powerful it can move mountains. Let's jump in and find out how your faith can do amazing things. Now you might be asking, what is faith exactly? Faith is like trusting or believing in something, even when you can't see it, or when it's really hard to understand. We have our faith as Christians in Jesus. In Matthew chapter 17, verse 20, Jesus says, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move. A mustard seed is super tiny. But Jesus is saying that even a little bit of faith can make big things happen. It means believing that with God's help, amazing things are possible, even things that seem too hard or too big, like moving a mountain. That's pretty incredible, isn't it? Jesus is telling us that even if our faith is really small, it can still do big things. It's like when you believe something will happen, even if it seems impossible. Imagine this. Picture yourself trying to move a big rock. It feels impossible, right? But what if you had a special tool? Or even better, a friend to help you. You could probably do it. That's exactly what faith is like. Even if your faith feels really tiny, it can help you do big things and face big challenges. If Jesus were in the car with you, he'd probably tell you to keep growing your faith. But how can you do that? Here are some easy ways to help your faith grow and see God do amazing things in your life. First, trust God. When things get hard, like a tricky homework assignment or a big test, remember that God is with you and ready to help. Pray for strength. Ask God for help when you need it. Just like a tiny mustard seed grows into a big tree, your faith will grow stronger each time you pray. So pray daily. Believe that God made you exactly how he wants you. God made you to do amazing things. Trust that you can do great things with God's help because he made you exactly the way he wants you. And help your friends. When you encourage your friends and help them feel brave, you're showing them how faith can make a big difference. Your faith can help others be strong too. So here's a story for you. Let's say you're nervous about speaking in front of your class. It feels scary, right? But instead of letting fear win, you pray and ask God for help. You trust that he's with you, and suddenly your faith grows and gives you the courage to do your best. And guess what? You shine. Faith isn't just about believing in big things. It's about trusting God in all the little things and knowing he's always with you. Remember, even a tiny bit of faith can make a big difference.
