Thanks, Someone, Something: A Prayer for the Dinner Table

A three-step prayer any kid can say out loud at the dinner table: thank God, pray for someone, pray for something.

For Parents

Your kid has probably gone quiet at least once when somebody asked them to pray out loud. It is almost never about faith. They just do not know what words to use. This bonus episode hands them three: thank God for something they can see, pray for somebody who is not at the table, pray for something that has not happened yet. Print the one-page card, stick it where you eat, and let your kid go first tonight.

The One Thing for the Ride

Thanks, someone, something. That's the whole prayer.

Talk It Over

Who is one person who is not at our table tonight that we could pray for by name?
