Keep Your Prayer Habit at School

Hey, Carpool Crew! Happy Thursday. I'm Pastor Justin, and before we jump in, let me give a big shout-out to Anna Shaw and Cromer from Anderson, South Carolina. So glad you are with us this morning. And this episode is about keeping time with God when your days get packed. You know how in summer it was easy to pray, but now with school, homework, and practice, that quiet minute just disappears? Yeah. Let's jump in with the one thing I want you to remember for the ride: busy days are exactly when keeping your quiet minute with God matters most. Listen to this from Daniel 6:10. It says three times a day Daniel "got down on his knees, prayed, and gave thanks to his God, just as he had done before." Here is the wild part. Daniel had one of the busiest, most stressful jobs around, and there was even a law telling him to stop praying. He kept his habit anyway. Daniel did not pray three times a day because he had loads of free time. He did it because he knew he could not do his big, busy life without God. The busier it got, the more he needed it. A quiet minute with God is not one more thing on your to-do list. It is the thing that steadies all the other things. Skipping it when you are busy is like skipping breakfast on your hardest day. If Jesus were sitting next to you right now, He would remind you, "You do not need a long, fancy prayer. Just come find Me for a minute in the middle of your busy day. I am always right here." It is a jam-packed morning, and you almost skip praying because you are rushing. Instead, in the car on the way in, you take sixty seconds: God, be with me today. That one minute changes how you walk into everything after it. Hey, this week, try these two things. First, pick one time you will meet God every day, in the car, at breakfast, or right at bedtime. Second, keep it small and doable, even just sixty seconds, so you can actually stick with it on the busy days. Hey, let's go back to that one thing I wanted you to remember for the ride.
