What If I Did Something So Bad That God Doesn't Want Me Anymore?

Hey, hey, Carpool Crew. Welcome back to Questions from the Backseat. Today's question might be one you thought about late at night. What if I did something so bad that God doesn't want me anymore? Now hear me on this. This is really important. There is nothing you can ever do to make God love you less. Let me say it again. There's nothing you can ever do to make God love you less. In Romans chapter 8, verse 39, it says: 'Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height or depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.' See, that's a really long list. And do you know what it means? Nothing on that list, nothing off that list, nothing you've done, nothing you will ever do, none of it can pull you out of God's love. There's nothing you can ever do to make God love you less. Now, that doesn't mean sin doesn't matter. It does. Sin hurts you. It hurts other people. And guess what? It hurts the heart of God. God loves you. He doesn't want you to sin. That's why we tell God the truth about it. We say, 'God, I messed up.' And here's the wild part. He already knew, and he still sent Jesus to die for your sins and mine. Maybe you lied to your mom. Maybe you said something mean to your sister or brother. Maybe you did something you've never told anyone about. Well, first of all, this is a good time to tell mom or dad. Keeping secrets is never fun. And guess what? Whatever it is, you don't have to hide it. Hiding doesn't fix it. Honesty does. You can't out-sin the love of Jesus. So stop hiding and start talking to him, and talking to your parents about what's going on in your life. That's the question from the Backseat today. If you have a question, submit it.
