Questions Kids Ask

What does the Bible say to a kid scared of bad dreams or nightmares?

The Bible promises that when you lie down you will not be afraid, and your sleep will be pleasant (Proverbs 3:24). God is not just the God of the daytime, he is also the God of the nighttime, and he never dozes off, so even when you wake up scared his peace can wrap around you like a blanket. If you have a bad dream you can whisper, Jesus, give me peace, remind yourself the dream is not real but God is, and go tell your mom or dad who want to help you back to sleep.
