Thankful for My Church Family

Whether your church meets in a big building, a small school, or even your living room, God designed the church to be more than a place — it’s a family.

For Parents

Church can feel like home to a kid or it can feel new and uncertain, especially after a move or in a growing congregation. This episode uses Hebrews 10:24-25 to help your child see church as a family of faith, the greeters, leaders, teachers, and volunteers who show God's love in real ways. This weekend, have your child find one volunteer or leader, look them in the eye, and say thank you. A kid's thank you to a church volunteer lands bigger than they know.

The One Thing for the Ride

Church isn't a building, it's a family God gave you, a place where you belong and people love you, pray for you, and help you grow closer to Jesus.

Questions Kids Ask

Why is going to church important for kids?

Church is not just a building, it is a family God gave you where you belong, where people love you, pray for you, and help you grow closer to Jesus. The Bible tells us to keep gathering together and encouraging one another, because being together makes us stronger (Hebrews 10:24-25). A great way to live it out is to thank a greeter, teacher, or volunteer who helps make your church family feel like home.
