Hey, Carpool Crew! Happy Friday. I hope you have an incredible weekend ahead. I'm Pastor Justin, and before we jump in, let me give a huge shout-out to Rayah, Cruz, Jax and Hazel from La Crete, Alberta, Canada. Four of you on one shout-out, that is a whole carpool. So glad you made it to Friday with us. And this episode is for the end of a long week when you have got nothing left. You know that Friday feeling where your legs are heavy, your brain is mush, and even fun stuff sounds like too much work? Yeah. A few weeks into school, that catches up with everybody. Let's jump in with the one thing I want you to remember for the ride: when you're worn out, God lifts you. Listen to this from Isaiah 40:31. It says, "those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary." Did you catch the eagle part? Eagles are giant birds, and they have a secret: they barely flap. They stretch their wings out wide and let the wind do the carrying. The people who first heard this were worn out and worried it would never get better. And God's answer was not flap harder. It was trust Me, and I will be the wind underneath you. You have been flapping all week. Homework, practice, early mornings, trying to power through on your own. A bird that never stops flapping wears out fast. The soaring starts when it stops fighting the air and rides the wind instead. If Jesus were sitting next to you right now, He would say, "You were never supposed to carry this week by yourself. Lean on Me. I can take you way farther than your own flapping can." It is Friday afternoon. You are dragging up the driveway, and there is still a whole weekend of stuff ahead. Instead of pushing through on your own, you stop on the porch, take one big breath, and pray, God, I am worn out. Please carry me. That is not quitting. That is spreading your wings and letting the wind lift. Hey, this week, try this one thing. When you hit worn out, do not just grit your teeth and flap harder. Stop, breathe, and pray four words: God, please carry me. Then watch what He does with the rest of your day. Hey, let's go back to that one thing I wanted you to remember for the ride. When you're worn out, God lifts you. Remember, no matter where you are or how you're listening, God loves you. And parents, this weekend on Carpooling with Jesus+ we have two your kids will love. Tomorrow, God Has a Plan for This Year, for the worry that this year will go bad. And Sunday, He Is Glad About You, a reminder of how God feels about your kid after a hard week. For less than a snack run, Carpooling with Jesus+ gets your kids both, plus bonus episodes all week. Before you go, let's answer this question together. What is one part of your week where you have been flapping all on your own, and how could you ask God to carry it? I'll see you tomorrow or next Monday on Carpooling with Jesus.
