You Can't Do Life Without Jesus
Whether you’re buckled into the backseat with your lunchbox, helping a sibling with their hoodie, or heading out the door with a sleepy smile — I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here.
For Parents
Near the close of the vine and branches series, this episode sits on John 15:5 and Jesus' words that we can do nothing without him. Pastor Justin uses funny pictures, a race with no shoes, a controller with no batteries, a pool with no water, to show that we were made to do life with God, not alone. He encourages kids to start the day knowing they're loved, to pause and remember God is near, and to come to him before rushing into rash decisions.

Questions Kids Ask
Why did Jesus say you can do nothing without him?
Jesus was making it clear that you were not made to do life alone, you were made to do life with God. He said he is the vine and we are the branches, and apart from him you can do nothing (John 15:5), because a branch cut off from the vine dries up and cannot grow anything. So you do not have to face the math test, the argument, or that not-good-enough feeling on your own, just stay close, pray, and let him help you every step.
